2500EP MBR Commissioned for Barrow Island LNG Village
After 5 months of construction and commissioning the latest MBR plant from Tristar has been put into service. The plant services a new 2500EP accommodation village on Barrow Island, treating the sewage to Class A+ standard, allowing it to be re-used for dust suppression or aquifer recharge.
Despite significant logistics issues and extensive quarantine restrictions because of the isolated nature of the island and environmental concerns, Tristar were able to deliver the plant on schedule. Even with lost time due to several cyclone evacuations, Tristar were able to construct and commission the plant in good time.
