The MBR System
Our compact MBR (Membrane Bio Reactor) Wastewater Treatment Plants are specially designed to suit the arid environments of the remote mining communities. Our plants also have a level of redundancy and an ease of operation to handle the different challenges experienced on site.
With the final effluent of our MBR wastewater treatment plants achieving class A+ quality, this allows for the potential to use the wastewater to irrigate for beautification purposes where human contact may occur, dust suppression, or even may be reused in process water applications.
This system is an ideal asset for all types of accommodation facilities including but not limited to; mining camps, exploration camps, caravan parks and resorts and residential developments.
Our system is based on a Toray submerged flat sheet membrane module which is a robust and suitable system for all levels of sanitary wastewater. With over 600 reference sites throughout the world and in remote areas we believe the performance of the Toray membranes is well suited to these applications.
Its main advantage over alternative MBR`s is its simple operation and maintenance. The membranes are continually cleaned by air scour meaning a chemical clean is only required every 6 months.
Our MBR systems are designed and assembled in-house, and fully factory tested requiring minimal installation on site. The units are constructed from steel to standard container sizes for easy transportation and relocation. It is finished with an epoxy coating to ensure long service life.
