Wastewater Treatment

The SBR System

Sequencing Batch Reactor Systems (SBR) systems operate in a five-step mode: filling of the reactor basin, a reaction phase, a settling phase, a decant phase, and an idle phase. The reaction phase is usually a combination of aerobic and anoxic phases to achieve high levels of BOD and nitrogen removal.

In certain circumstances, the reaction sequence can be modified for phosphorous removal. To optimize the performance of the system, two or more batch reactors are used in a predetermined sequence of organisation.

They are uniquely suited for wastewater treatment applications characterized by low or intermittent flow conditions.

Tristar Water Solutions designs SBR systems of all sizes and levels of treatment including Class A, that are mechanically robust and completely automated.
